GMO Care Collective: Sack Lunch & Blanket Outreach

Pre-prep bags January 18th from 10 am to 1 pm

• Set bag up and place snacks in bags

1. Sandwich Makers (6 People)

• Start Time: 8:00 a.m.

• Begin making sandwiches.

• In 30 minutes (~8:30 a.m.), ~90 sandwiches will be ready for sack preparers to begin.

• Sandwich makers continue until all 300 sandwiches are completed by 9:30 a.m..

2. Food Runners (2–4 People)

• Start Time: 8:30 a.m.

• Arrive to organize bins, bags, or wagonsfor easy loading.

• Begin moving completed sandwiches and snacks to the sack preparers.

• Ensure sack preparers have a smooth assembly line.

3. Sack Preparers (8 People)

• Start Time: 8:30 a.m.

• Begin assembling sacks with sandwiches, snacks, and fruit as sandwiches are completed.

• Work alongside sandwich makers, using completed sandwiches immediately.

• Finish assembling 300 sacks by 10:00 a.m..

4. Drivers (2–4 People)

• Start Time: 10:15 a.m.

• Load all sacks, water, and blankets into vehicles.

• Drive from 1020 NE 42nd St. to Ralph Ellison Library (23rd and MLK).

• Drive Time: ~10 minutes.

• Arrive at the site by 10:30 a.m..

5. Distributors (12 People)

• Start Time: 10:30 a.m.

• Arrive at the site to prepare for distribution.

• Set up the water, blankets, and sack lunches for handout.

• Begin distributing lunches at 11:00 a.m. and continue until supplies run out.

Flow Summary

1. 8:00–9:30 a.m.: Sandwich makers complete 300 sandwiches.

2. 8:30–10:00 a.m.: Sack preparers assemble 300 sacks as sandwiches are made.

3. 10:15–10:30 a.m.: Drivers load and transport supplies to the site.

4. 10:30–11:00 a.m.: Distributors prepare for handout.

5. 11:00 a.m.: Distribution begins and continues until supplies are gone.
